Oftentimes, undergraduates in psychology are able to find local paid internships and research opportunities after completing their degree. Some take positions as psychiatric assistants and lab assistants, working under licensed psychiatrists and gaining experience that will further their career in the field.

Healthcare, technology and banking are the other three largest employers in the state. Careers such as data analysis, human resources, recruitment, management, and customer service, to name a few, are all within the reach of graduates in psychology. Those graduating with a degree in psychology will be well positioned to work in any field where a passion for helping people, working with data, and human interaction are involved.
