Graduates with a degree in psychology will enter the workforce well rounded and prepared for work in almost any sector of employment. Psychology education includes a background in the social sciences and liberal arts, critical thinking, and interpersonal communications.
While some graduates continue on to pursue more advanced degrees or work as psychiatric aides and technicians, often within the university system, others are employed in the public and private sector after graduation. The Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts careers in Indiana with the largest number of openings projected to 2016 include: operations managers, management analysts, clergy, communications analysts, market research analysts, public relations specialists, sales managers, and employment, recruitment, and placement specialists. All of these industries commonly employ people with backgrounds in psychology.
