Georgia, along with the rest of the country, is currently on track to create a wealth of opportunity for Georgia psychology school graduates. As economic landscapes change and global perspectives change, demand increases for psychology professionals to aid in transitioning business, to create more productive environments, and to help citizens cope with stress and uncertainty.
“We must not allow ourselves to be trapped in a short-term mindset where rash decisions result in dire long-term consequences,” said Governor Perdue. “Our perspective must be one of optimism even in the face of difficult economic cycles.” - Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue, Jan. 14th, 2009
Coming from the top, Governor Perdue states the pervasive mindset found throughout the country in high ranking political positions. Reading between the lines, Georgia, along with the rest of the country, is preparing for shifting economic paradigms and a period of uncertainty.
Psychology colleges in Georgia are already seeing increasing enrollment and, chances are, will see continual increases in applicants as demand for those educated in psychology increases. As our world becomes more complicated, the value of those who can make heads or tails of our world increases significantly. As complication is unlikely to disappear, demand for and opportunity in the psychology professions throughout Georgia will likely continue to increase long into the future.
