A survey conducted by Bureau of Labor and Statistics in May of 2008 found that across the country Clinical, Counseling and School Psychologists averaged a salary of $70,190 and Psychology Professors averaged $69,560.

However, the top ten percent earned $106,840 and $113,000 respectively. Psychologists who are motivated and who start their own practice will often earn salaries on the greater end of the spectrum.
