How to become a Social Worker in Florida:

Follow the steps to earn your Florida Social Work License:
Step One:
To receive a Florida clinical social worker license, you will need to earn your masters or doctoral degree from an approved school.
Request information from psychology schools and colleges in Florida.
Step Two:
Florida social work licensure requirements indicate certain coursework needs to be met while receiving your degree. To learn more about these requirements, look at the 2008 Laws and Rules from the following Florida Department of Health webpage.
Step Three:
In addition to specific coursework, you will need to complete at least 2 years of clinical social work experience under the guidance of a qualified supervisor. If your graduate program did not meet the stated education requirements, independent study coursework can be used to make up for any deficiencies.
